Individual sponsorship criteria

AbbVie may support individuals to attend third-party educational events that:

Support scientific and medical knowledge and understanding

Are directly related to the applicant’s area of expertise

AbbVie may book and pay for the following to support the applicant:

Flights

Accommodation

Registration

Not fundable

Incidentals

Expenses of a guest, family member, or a companion

AbbVie books and pays for all flights, accommodation, and registration fees directly and will not reimburse the applicant for these expenses. Booked flights are based upon the most direct and practical route to and from the educational event without providing additional time for purposes unrelated to the educational event.

Please note that the review process for HCP sponsorship requests related to virology (Hepatitis C) has been updated. Applications will now be assessed in three review rounds as outlined below. Please refer to your sponsorship request confirmation email for more information.
